Discussion on Confrontation and Negotiation

In 300 Words

Confrontation is a conflict element whereby the involved parties confront each other by engaging one another in a dispute. It is a common phenomenon that can occur at any scale, between any number of individuals, nations, cultures, or even other living things rather than humans.

On the other hand, negotiation is a strategic discussion that intends to resolve an issue in a way that the conflicting parties find acceptable. By engaging in a negotiation exercise, individuals try to avoid confrontations and arguments but agree to reach some form of compromise.

Hence, negotiation is a form of conflict resolution technique that people can apply where there is a confrontation to restore peace.

In every social setting, confrontations occur from time to time. Hence, people or organizations need to resolve such conflicts through negotiation techniques. For instance, in a workplace setting, business owners can be in a confrontation with managers, employees, or even the public.

Although the organizational size determines the best negotiation strategy, the warring parties should be prepared to handle negotiations in the shortest time possible. Establishing goals, identifying the tradeoffs as well as listening to the alternative helps contribute significantly in resolving conflicts using the negotiation technique (Bavinck & Jyotishi, 2014).

Before doing anything, it is essential to evaluate previous relationships, possible outcomes, as well as the desired consequences. Undeniably, organizations can easily avoid internal confrontations because business owners have the full responsibility of overseeing and solving issues when they arise. However, conducting negotiations to resolve external conflicts is a menace for most organizations.

Differences in beliefs and ideas are among the sources of conflicts between people or in an organization. Besides, individuals may find themselves in a confrontational situation due to disagreements, among many other reasons. Confrontation and negotiation strategy can result in the creation of a wide range of options in resolving tough situations.

The conflicting parties can go through a few procedures in the process of discussing negotiating the best solution for the problem (Barsky & Barsky, 2017). For instance, the problem analysis. This strategy involving coming up with different approaches to the conflict and dealing with the consequences to reach a consensus.

Negotiation technique is a useful tool when resolving a confrontation. However, often one party can participate in unethical behavior during this process. Therefore, there is a need to develop the best alternative to the negotiated agreements to avoid further conflicts in the future.

Although confrontations are inevitable, it is advisable to avoid situations that can lead to unfavorable conditions between people in a social setting. In case such scenarios happen, the parties should consider engaging in a negotiation process to find a solution and restore harmony.

Communication Leadership Discussion Paper

Student Exchange: Self-Concept and the Johari Window

Trust yourself. Create the kind of self that you will be happy to live with all your life. Make the most of yourself by fanning the tiny, inner sparks of possibility into flames of achievement.
Golda Meir, former Prime Minister of Israel, teacher, kibbutznik and politician

Your journey into the field of communication begins with knowing yourself. As Golda Meir suggests, knowing and trusting yourself can help you build a successful life.

The Johari window provides a simple, yet effective graphic tool to consider parts of your self-concept that you already know, what others know about you, and areas in which knowledge can be gained. By identifying areas of self-knowledge to gain, you identify ways to improve your interpersonal communication expertise. What “sparks of possibility” will you discover?

In this Discussion, you begin building a trusting environment with your peers as you share personal insights gathered from constructing a Johari window. You also identify areas where additional self-knowledge can be gained.

To prepare for this Discussion, pay particular attention to the following learning resources and preparation activities

Review this week’s Learning Resources and complete the Preparation Activity as outlined below:

Center for Creative Leadership. (Producer). (2017). Building an authentic Leadership Image [Audio podcast]. Retrieved from https://www.ccl.org/multimedia/podcast/building-an-authentic-leadership-image/

Mind Tools. (2018). The Johari window: Using self-discovery and communication to build trust. Retrieved from http://www.mindtools.com/CommSkll/JohariWindow.htm

Nair, S. K., & Naik, N. S. (2010). The Johari window profile of executives of a public sector undertaking. Management and Labour Studies, 32(2), 137–148.

Preparation Activity:

Complete a 25-word personal Johari window including the following:

Facade: Think about the past 10 or more years of your life, including both personal and professional relationships. List five words that describe you that others may not consider or think of.

Ask two people who know you well to provide 10 words that describe you (for a total of 20 words). It is important to have a robust list of characteristics or traits from which to conduct a thorough self-analysis. It is alright, and often expected, for some items on the lists to overlap. If either person is unable to come up with 10 words, please ask that he or she provides as many descriptors as possible.

Arena: Analyze the list and select five words that were unsurprising or expected.

Blind spot: Analyze the list and select five words that others know about you but you were surprised to learn.

Post a cohesive response based on your analysis of the learning resources and your professional experience. Be sure to discuss the following:

Evaluate the results of your 25-word Johari window that includes how these words relate to your self-concept. Be sure to address each of the categories in your window.

Compare the differences between your self-concept (façade) and how others describe you.

Analyze your blind spots you identified based on the responses received from the persons who helped you with your Johari window and discuss any surprising outcomes.

Analyze how your self-concept can help you devise strategies for effective professional image, specifically in how you may represent yourself in various settings.

Be sure to support your ideas by connecting them to the week’s Learning Resources, as well as other credible resources you have read; or what you have observed and experienced.

General Guidance: Your original post, due by Day 5 will typically be 3 or 4 paragraphs in length, as a general expectation/estimate. Refer to the Week 1 Discussion 2 Rubric for grading elements and criteria. Your instructor will use the rubric to assess your work

Read a selection of your peers’ postings.

Respond to at least two of your peers’ postings in one or more of the following ways:

Share an insight you gained about the topic of self-concept from reading your peer’s posts and why that insight is important or what you will do differently as a result of gaining it.

Offer at least one other communication skill that you think can assist your peers in decreasing a blind spot and why you think it will help.

Offer at least one other communication skill that can assist your peers in diminishing a façade and why you think it will help.

Offer an additional strategy that your peers can use to improve how he or she communicates his or her image in a way that aligns with what is intended and your rationale.

Return to this Discussion in a few days to read the responses to your initial posting. Note what you have learned and/or any insights that you have gained as a result of the comments that your peers made.

Problem Domain Class Identification Discussion Response

Problem, Domain, Class, Identification, Discussion, Response

DQ#2 – Requirement Gathering

If you do not have a strong business process background, or very much knowledge about the problem domain (e.g. the business area being supported), how do you ensure that you have gathered all the important requirements and that your requirements are accurate, thorough, and comprehensive?

DQ#3 – Use Case Identification Techniques

The book discusses two techniques for identifying use cases (the event decomposition technique and the user goal technique). Which technique is better? Why?

DQ#4 – Problem Domain Class Identification

The book discusses two techniques to identify classes from the problem domain (The Brainstorming technique and the Noun technique).  Which technique is better?  When might one be better than the other?  When might it be appropriate to use both techniques?

The first reply:

Here are two techniques that help identify use cases when forming a system named the User Goal Technique and the Event Decomposition technique. The User Goal Technique is done by focusing on what the goals of the users in a system are and what use cases can an analyst create to accomplish those goals.

For example, a user who works at the Amazon IT department might have the goal to be able to document calls when clients call them. A use case that could be utilized in this scenario is a “Create a ticket” case. The User Goal technique has multiple steps to follow but is the most common in the industry.

The Event Decomposition technique is a technique that uses external, temporal, or state events to determine what use cases needs to be utilized. In this technique, the use cases are the responses of these types of events. For example, using the Event Decomposition Technique, an external event that often happens in Amazon Prime Video is a customer wanting to rent a movie.

The use case in this scenario would be the response of the system to the customer/user’s wants which can be a “Pay to Rent a Movie”. Between the two techniques, the Event Decomposition offers a more comprehensive and complete information to an analyst, thus the Event Decomposition technique is the better technique.

The reason why it is the better technique is because the Event Decomposition identifies all possible events and creates use cases for these types of events while the User Goal technique only focuses on the goals mentioned by the user and nothing more. This means that use cases that could be used in response to Temporal or State events could not be mentioned when using the User Goal Technique.

Given that these types of events are important, Event Decomposition technique certainly offers a more complete and comprehensive information to an analyst regarding use cases.

The second post:

According to the slides, the user goal technique “begins by identifying end users called actors and asking what specific goals they have when interacting with the system”. The event decomposition technique “begins by identifying events that occur that require the system to respond”.

According to the readings, while user goal technique identifies all the potential users for the new systems by classifying them by functional role, organizational level, and specific goals, event decomposition technique is “more comprehensive and complete”.

Event decomposition identifies events that occur so then the system must react to the occurrence; it covers external events when an outside source takes an action (usually an actor), temporal events, when an occurrence has reached a point in time (consolidated monthly reports need to be published) and state event, a triggering event when an occurrence takes action (automation of orders or payments).

As a result of these techniques, event decomposition covers a wider spectrum with either automation or a single user at a bird’s eye view because it “helps your focus on a high-level view of the system rather than on the inner workings of the system” (p. 71).

By identifying these appropriate levels, it becomes more business oriented which it takes the interest of a company, the focus relies on elementary business processes (EBPs) “adds measurable business value and leaves the system and its data in a stable and consistent state” (p. 70).

Satzinger, J. W., Jackson, R. B., & Burd, S. D. (2011). Systems analysis and design in a Changing World. Cengage Learning.

Gathering detailed information on existing system requirements is an imperative part of the third core process of the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC), which is to “Discover and understand the details of the problem or the need (Burd et al., 2012, 36).

This is important because analyzing the past or current system requirements help create an improved new system with new requirements derived from the system currently being analyzed.

The quality of data gathered depends on the way they are gotten and following certain techniques can help get an accurate, thorough, and comprehensive information of the requirements. One technique to get thorough information is interviewing users and other stakeholders.

This technique is effective in gathering information on requirements especially if the interview tackles three important themes, namely, “What are the business operation and processes?”

“How should those operations be performed”, and “What information is needed to perform those operations?” (Burd et al., 2012, 50). Another technique to use is a questionnaire method. Questionnaires are good for large group of stakeholders and often give preliminary insights into the requirements.

Reviewing inputs, outputs, and procedures is another technique that can help understand the requirements of a system and can be gotten through either internal or external sources. Observing and documenting processes can greatly help gain understanding of existing systems because observing requires a person actually seeing the processes in person and bring new insights of requirements.

Another technique is to research vendor solutions. This helps gain accurate information on requirements because most often, vendor solutions are the latest and effective solutions if they are applicable to the business.

Lastly, collecting suggestions and comments is a technique that can serve as a helpful tool to verify if the information you gathered is correct and if there are anything that can be improved. Following these techniques will certainly help get an accurate, thorough, and comprehensive details of the requirements.

If you are not too aware of the problem domain, setting requirements can be quite challenging. One way to ensure that the requirements are correct is to make sure you are following the appropriate steps in the beginning. Following the pre-project activities are crucial, as this is where you “identify and document the specific business need as well as define a specific project objective.” (Satzinger et al., 2011, pg. 9)

Also creating a well-planned System vision document and Work breakdown structure are good tools to start your project off as these will help you describe the project, its capabilities, benefits, as well as the steps to how these will be accomplished.

The first post:

As the brainstorming technique is defined as a technique to identify problem domain objects in which developers work with users in an open domain setting, it’s clear that this technique utilizes brainstorming and communication with users to best identify important things in the problem domains (Satzinger/Jackson/Burd, 2012, P93).

The noun technique identifies problem domain objects finding and classifying the nouns in a dialog or description (Satzinger/Jackson/Bird, 2012, P94). Both are relied upon techniques for identifying problem domain items.

The brainstorming technique appears to be the better, more comprehensive technique for identifying problem domain objects because it covers variety of “things” from tangible, to incidents, to roles played. The noun technique is limited to people, places, and things.

The Brainstorming technique would be most appropriate to use when there are plenty of users available to collaborate with and ask the appropriate questions to in order to uncover what’s involved with carrying out a use case.

The noun technique would be most appropriate to utilize when there are no users available to brainstorm with so that the analyst can systematically create a list to help them identify which things need to addressed to help identify a problem domain.

Between brainstorming and noun technique, I don’t believe one is better than the other because it depends on what the system is for and where in the life cycle it may be in. For example, in a business model that is broader, and mixes focuses on tangible items, roles played, organizational units and devices, sites and locations and broad spectrums of events, may be beneficial to begin the brainstorming technique.

While noun technique focuses on systematic applications and classifying each noun and then consolidating them into more important or critical point factors.

When one has actors or users to work with and a system may already be established, brainstorming may be more beneficial than noun because it uses users and analyst;

noun may be better when one might start an application and discuss possibilities with stakeholders on expansion or the improvements are solely on system already established and does not need, require, or have actors or users at their disposal and so it becomes a technical or mechanical approach.

I believe it is appropriate to use both techniques when you have both tangible things and you may want to expand on certain aspects of an area where it may not be fully developed or needs to be pivoted into a direction where it is all in an information system.

For example, Airbnb wants to expand their use case for renting cars now, for some users it is simply adding that service with their Airbnb while others who do not own homes but have vehicles and can give that service and as a result might need an associated account.

Draft of the Problem Statement

Stress is among the critical issues facing patients with diabetes. But we remain unaware of the much damage that stress can impact on Type 2 Diabetic (T2D) patients. Psychological distress and stress play a vital role in the intensification, development, and chronic nature of diabetes. Stress takes up a dual role i.e., effect and cause, in its relationship with diabetes- stress can be considered both a consequence and at the same time a cause of type 2 diabetes (T2D).

Stress increases glycosylated hemoglobin (HbA1C) and glucose. At the same time, T2D and its affiliated consequences can exacerbate stress levels among T2D patients as well as inflict other behavioral, physical, and mental disorders (Zamani-Alavijeh et al, 2018). The problem is that T2D patients face high and intense stress levels that result in poor self-management practices that cause challenges in managing blood glucose levels. Saraei & Hatami (2016) posit that T2D is susceptible to the impacts of stress to the point of bringing forth a bilateral relationship between the disease and stress with a two-way random sequence.

One, an indirect trajectory that involves the impact on the individual’s health via the individual’s behavior- emotional stress may worsen the patient’s behavioral changes to the point of an individual failing to observe recommended medication, exercise, and diet. Two, a direct trajectory -stress stimulates the adrenal gland to release cortisol and epinephrine that trigger a rise in blood glucose levels (Saraei & Hatami, 2016).

Thus, it is crucial to search for and employ strategic stress management measures that will enable T2D patients to practice proper self-management and as a result, properly regulate their blood glucose levels. The research brings knowledge on the vitality of non-pharmacological stress management techniques as a way of improving self-management efficacy and allowing for proper blood glucose level management among T2D patients.

Program of Study: Doctor of Management

The problem is that employees are tired of coming to work, morale is low, they do not feel motivated or inspired. In fact, they can not perform at their best because of the stress and anxiety that is associated with coming to work. I would like to find out what employees would like their employers to do in order to increase morale, productivity, performance, and improve the over all happiness.

Employees happiness is not only beneficial for the worker, it is also beneficial to the company. According to Forbes, there was a study that found happy employees to be 20% more productive than employees that were unhappy, those who were in sales, increased their sales by 37% (Preston, 2017).

The potential benefit of addressing the problem would be a decrease in absenteeism, increase in morale, workers getting along better, employees becoming more engaged, increase in creativity, and overall employees actually enjoying coming to work. The potential benefit of addressing the problem for the company would be an increase productivity, increase in revenue, and even happy employees brag about their jobs and that word of mouth would cause others to either support the business or even attempt to work there themselves. The potential benefit of addressing the problem would possibly be beneficial to society Because we would have less mean, stressed and aggravated drivers on the road. Have you ever gotten off of work and been so ready to leave and get home that you got in your car and just sped through traffic, beeping your horn at all of the slow drivers and switching lanes in an attempt to get ahead of the slow cars? Then other day when you had a calm, peaceful day, you get off of work and head home and you’re not in a rush, you drive safely, calm and you take time to enjoy the music and the scenery. You might even call someone to talk about how your day went while making your way home.

The purpose of the proposed qualitative exploratory study is to explore why employees are unhappy while at work. 9 employees working in an automobile manufacturing facility, located in Sterling Heights, Michigan, will be participating in a semi-structured interview process. The purpose of the interview is to understand why the employees are unhappy and why they do not like coming to work. The results of the study could encourage employees to implement certain amenities and incentives to increase morale and encourage the employees to want to come to work.

Discussion 1

Network speed demand is growing every day globally. The need to upgrade traditional network design to keep up with this growing demand is becoming strenuous and futile. In a 5 to 10 years network will be ten times faster than the current network. This future network will see that the cost of obtaining, installing, and using upgraded hardware is avoided.

The 10 GB network will also facilitate innovation and creativity as it ensures dependability and consumer security. This network will change many things, among them are learning, working, and playing.

There is a need for creativity to reach the 10GB internet, which allows performance advancement without change of current infrastructures. This implies that there will be some DOCSIS technologies, for instance, DOCSIS 3.1 that will be used, which allows transmission of a maximum of 50% more data and enables consistency in uploading and downloading (NCTA, 2020).

In that case, downloading or streaming of large contents even at a go will be made possible. Fiber-optic technologies will facilitate the current cable infrastructure to handle the raising of internet traffic in the future. This will ensure energy conservation, cost reduction, and increased capacity by two times more.

Automation of networks is an inevitable thing in the coming years. Although currently, it takes a while before a new product is brought into the market since it requires provisioning and routing, among other things that consume many resources. In the future, the network will be readily configured with intelligent automation; thus, it allows the digital advancement of fundamental components and business processes (Miller, 2019).

This will facilitate fast transformation in the global economy where errors or challenges will be eliminated instantly, thus promoting efficiency in most production levels.

The future network will also promote consumers’ security. The current internet of things speed of growth is high, and unfortunately, it is vulnerable to many security threats. Experts are currently coming up with advancement that will facilitate and assure consumer security in the future (Melzer, Latour, et al., 2020).

This innovation involves identifying and arranging linked devices to eliminate security hazards and secure network from the damage. The techniques will protect client Internet of Things (IoT) hardware in the future from any attack or risk.

Discussion 2

In the following 5-10 years organizations will be much quicker and will likewise become less expensive and more open to individuals. There will be extraordinary upgrades in correspondence organizations, robots, sensors, block chain and Artificial Intelligence.

There will likewise be a great part of the increased human which incorporate the biochips, feeling Artificial Intelligence, vivid work environments and exemplification.

There will be progressed Artificial Intelligence and examination which the best of its uses being edge investigation, versatile AI and furthermore chart examination.

Clarification:

How that may affect the worldwide economy

Because of the utilization of more innovation the worldwide economy will improve since requesting, installment and payment of merchandise online will be improved, quicker and proficient in the coming days subsequently firms will make more benefits and improve the ways of life.

The worldwide economy will likewise improve since the improved innovation will make creation quicker and simpler not at all like now when it is still a lot of work serious. This will expand creation levels henceforth more benefits and better economy.

Emergent Leadership Discussion Essay Assignment

Emergent, Leadership, Discussion, Essay

Respond to this person’s discussion (Shameka Giles) Hailey has worked as an industrial engineer for two years at the plant and recently been promoted to production manager in the drum manufacturing department. Hailey is seeking better improvement in the most recent technology to better equip her work force.

Hailey main goal as a leader, is to make a difference in her workplace, in which she is involving management and her work force in this age of transformation. Hailey is a leader that promotes organizational performance and morale.

Her leadership skill involves staff with the company missions, inspiring her employees to elevate their goals, and self-driven responsibility for the entire organization. Haily must start by emergent, collaborate, and build a relationship with her work force.

Emergent Leadership

Hailey is an emergent leader that can mentor, communicate, listen, influential, and flamboyant to involve all generations and diverse cultures in a work force such as baby boomers, millennials, and generation Z.

Baby Boomers: Baby boomers were born between 1946 and 1964. They are currently between 57-75 years old, dependable, self-driven, and traditional work ethics. They have respect for work qualification, credentials, policies, and a leader that leads by example. Boomers are close to retirement, and they know the dos and the don’ts in the workplace (policies, rules, and regulations) (Houlihan, 2020).

Gen. X: Born: 1965-1980 (currently ages 41-56). They are skeptical, a group with similar views, values, tastes, and habits. They are impressed by leadership hard work, credentials, and competence. What impresses these workers is hard work and competence from leaders. Boomers will be retiring, leaving the leadership reigns in many companies up for grabs (Houlihan, 2020).

Gen Y: Gen Y, or Millennials, were born between 1981 and 1994/6. They are currently between 25 and 40 years old, they are determined, very technological, collaboration is second nature, they can multitask, and optimistic about what they can achieve (Houlihan, 2020).

Gen Z: Gen Z is the newest generation, born between 1997 and 2012. They are currently between 9 and 24 years old, the next generation. They are optimistic yet with a shorter attention span, limited interpersonal skills, balanced by super technology skills and creativity. They are very open-minded and very appreciative of feedback.

Gen Z looks for rewards, recognition, and money are not as important to them. They want a flexible lifestyle that lets them do what they want. “Face to face communication is valued, as is working in teams, and they are looking for a job where their creativity is valued” (Houlihan, 2020).

  • The advantage of emergent is having a combination of all generations’ talents and gifts to create modern era transformation.  This is a chance to help others grow and develop leadership skills. Part of a leadership job is serving as a mentor and helping to develop future managers and leaders (DuBrin, 2018).
  • The disadvantage is too many headaches, trying to reconcile conflicts involving people and things. Many people find that a leadership position is a source of stress, and many managers experience burnout (DuBrin, 2018).

Collaborate Leadership

Hailey must set strategies to execute her transformation goals for the company. One key factor is having a clear, precise, understanding collaboration, compelling purpose for the change. The second key factor is having transparency and adopting open communication throughout the department.

Hailey can start by training staff in the specific skills required for collaboration, being appreciative to others, engaging in conversations, and then modeling that behavior. The advantage of collaborating is developing teamwork from all generations and diversity.

Hailey can draw strength from each generation through dialogue, which encourages each generation to share their viewpoints and values is inspirational. Collaboration can be promoted by e-mail, social media, virtual, face-to-face meetings, along with globalization (DuBrin, 2018).

  • The advantage is gaining respect from staff, when a person in leadership is a doer of their work, or their personal qualifications match the position. Their followers will listen, participate, and will engage in the leader’s mission and goals (DuBrin, 2018).
  • The disadvantage is not being trustworthy, procrastinator and not living up to your expectations. This will be perceived unethical, dishonest, and poor leadership. to be perceived as lazy (DuBrin, 2018).

Building Relationship

Building a relationship with employees is the same as getting familiar with your job. Some advantages in building a relationship with employees are being present, which will make a significant difference. Building a relationship with employees shows that a leader cares and appreciates their employees by checking in with your workforce often; greeting them; showing recognition; providing breakfast or lunch;

and being willing to take time for conversation. Being a careful listener is important, it provides critical insights and feedback. Listening skills can be informative in a workplace, it can illuminate how things are going, how they should be going, and what can be done (DuBrin, 2018).

Hailey has a leadership mindset as a visionary to make a difference, to deal with change, being inspirational, motivational, and being influential to others. Great leaders may have some great followers, that requires members to contribute energy and talent to help leaders carry out their roles successfully.

“Ten such leadership roles are the figurehead, spokesperson, negotiator, coach and motivator, team builder, team player, technical problem solver, entrepreneur, strategy developer, and executor” (DuBrin, pg. 1-8a, 2018).

An important implication of these roles is that managers at every level can exert leadership. A great leader’s responsibility can be overwhelming and frustrating with facing a perform-or-perish mentality, insufficient authority, having to deal with conflicts, and organizational politics.

BSM 412 Financial Analysis of a Healthcare Organization Discussion

I’m working on a health & medical discussion question and need an explanation and answer to help me learn.

Describe the three steps in the financial analysis of a healthcare organization.

Why are the three steps important?

What is the purpose of the balance sheet used in a healthcare organization?

What is the accounting equation used in the balance sheet and what does each element in the equation represent?

ETH 120 Cultural Diversity and Social Inequalities Proposal and Presentation

1a. Imagine you work in middle management at a medium-sized furniture manufacturing facility. You have been asked to contribute to developing your company’s new diversity training. You are assigned to prepare the section on stereotypes, prejudice, and discrimination.

Create a 5- to 10-slide presentation, with speaker notes, that includes the following:

Definitions of the following terms:

Stereotypes

Prejudice

Discrimination

At least 1 example each of stereotypes, prejudice, and discrimination

Causes of stereotypes, prejudice, and discrimination

Challenges that people face because of stereotypes, prejudice, and discrimination

Ways that stereotypes, prejudice, and discrimination can be eliminated

Note: See the information below on creating a PowerPoint® presentation.

Read “Basic Tasks for Creating a PowerPoint® Presentation” to help you create appropriate presentations for the workplace

1b. Examine aspects of cultural diversity that relate to social inequalities. In your examination, look for some of the causes and effects of those inequalities and consider strategies for eliminating them.

Write a 525- to 700-word proposal to send to community members to promote opposition to this social inequality. Your proposal will be distributed to local businesses, universities, religious organizations, and social organizations.

Include the following in your proposal:

A list of community leaders, teachers, students, business employees (at all levels) you would like to be involved in the action team campaign and why you value their contributions

Specific examples of the social inequality along with what you believe are some of the causes for this and how it affects the community

Information that encourages participation in the campaign and demonstrates that the social inequality is truly an issue. Review the U.S. Census Bureau and U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics for more information.

A description of how the campaign will make people aware of the inequality and what actions will be taken to fight for the elimination of this inequality

HCA 312 Rationale for the EMR Expenditure Discussion

Prior to beginning work on this discussion, please read Chapters 16, 17, 22, 23, 27 and 28 in your course textbook, the Capital Budgeting in Health Organizations: Application of the Multicriteria Method Promethee V1 (Links to an external site.)Capital Budgeting (Links to an external site.), and The Increasing Importance of Strategic Capital Planning (Links to an external site.)(PDF Version ), and Overview of Capital Budgeting (Links to an external site.) articles, as well as the Capital Budgeting (Links to an external site.) web page.

The most obvious cost in a capital budget is the actual cost of the capital expenditure item. We must also consider other costs that will be incurred when we make the capital expenditure (purchase). These costs are important to include because they can be the difference between a successful implementation of the capital expenditure item and staying on budget.

After reviewing the textbook readings,

Provide an example of a healthcare capital expenditure.

Explain the rationale behind the purpose of a capital expenditure budget.

Include two other cost considerations and explain their inclusion in your capital budget plan.

For example, if you are installing an Electronic Medical Records (EMR), you must include future cost for maintenance, software updates, new computers, etc. These are the hidden costs of operation often not considered in a capital budget.

BSM 412 Healthcare Organization Tax Exemption Status Discussion

Musculoskeletal Disorders Discussion

I’m studying for my Health & Medical class and don’t understand how to answer this. Can you help me study?

In the biblical narrative God is divine. He is the creator of everything in the universe that exists. God also created man in his own likeness, without sin. Everything was created by God with an intentional order. This is creation. God set forth rules over Adam and Eve which were not to be broken. When Adam and Eve sinned, this was determined by God that man disobeyed his rule. Through their sin Adam and Eve were no longer the perfect image of God.

Instead, they became prone to all the evils of the world including disease, suffering and death. This was determined as the fall. The redemption occurred when Jesus gave his life in return for forgiveness of mankind through faith. Jesus made the ultimate sacrifice for redemption and salvation. His death was an exchange for the wrongdoing that occurred through the sin of mankind. His sacrifice through his death forged the path to restore a relationship with God. Restoration is the belief that through Jesus’ death and resurrection all mankind will be judged and peace and order will be restored.

What is the value in tax exemption status?

What are requirements for a healthcare organization to obtain tax exemption status?
