Hello Hib, thank you for posting. I noticed that you are repeating the same information over and over. Ensure that you cite the resources of the information. Look at the issue of open border, illegal immigration and drug trafficking. You need to provide the reader with an overview of illegal immigration, drug trafficking and human ttrafficking. Try to keep it simple and introduce the reader to the situation at the border. Show the increase in illegal border crossing. You may talk about cartels who benefit from the human trafficking/illegal immigration and drug trafficking. show the reader what the problem ist. Please see my comments in the text, cheers, Dr Suboch 8/31/22
Introduction
It is no secret that the United States shares a long and complex history with Mexico, particularly regarding immigration. In recent years, the issue of illegal immigration has again come to the forefront of public debate, with many people arguing that the country’s borders should be closed to prevent drug trafficking and other criminal activity. However, others argue that an open border is necessary to allow people to seek a better life for themselves and their families. The purpose of this study is to assess if there is a relationship between illegal immigration, drug trafficking, and an open border (Inés, 2019). In order to do this, the researcher will collect data from various sources, including government reports, news articles, and scholarly research. This data will then be analyzed to determine the extent to which each factor contributes to the other. It is important to note that this study is not intended to advocate for or against any particular position on the issue of immigration. Rather, this study aims to provide a more comprehensive understanding of the complex relationship between these three factors. According to Finley & Esposito (2020), there is no one answer to whether or not the United States should have an open border. The issue is complex, and various factors are to consider. However, this study will provide a more comprehensive understanding of the relationship between illegal immigration, drug trafficking, and an open border. Using this understanding to inform future debates and discussions will then be possible. Comment by Gabriele Suboch: Please support with resources cited in AP
The issue of illegal immigration is highly polarizing and contentious, with a wide range of opinions and perspectives on the matter. There is no doubt that illegal immigration is a complex and multi-faceted issue, with a variety of causes and effects. Among the areas that are often discussed are illegal immigration and drug smuggling. It is widely believed that there is a strong connection between illegal immigration and drug trafficking and that an open border would only exacerbate this problem. A great deal of research has been conducted on this topic, and it is clear that there is a need for further study in this area. The purpose of this research is to assess the relationship between illegal immigration, drug trafficking, and an open border. This research will seek to answer the following questions: Comment by Gabriele Suboch: You just stated that in the sentence above. Second, the connection between illegal immigration and drug trafficking is a major concern, and this research will shed light on this issue (Inés, 2019). There is often reference to illegal immigration, drug trafficking, and an open border in the same breath. According to Cha Y. (2020), this reference is because of a strong relationship between the three. For example, a study by the University of Arizona found that “a 10 percent increase in border enforcement is associated with a 9 percent decrease in the probability of drug trafficking.” In other words, when it is harder to cross the border illegally, there is less drug trafficking. However, not all research agrees on the strength of this relationship (Meade & Nancy, 2018). A study by the RAND Corporation found that “the relationship between border enforcement and drug trafficking is small and not statistically significant.” In other words, the study found that drug trafficking is not significantly impacted by border enforcement. The relationship between illegal immigration and drug trafficking is complex, and more research is needed to understand it fully. However, the available research suggests a strong relationship between the three. Comment by Gabriele Suboch: Please reword for clarity Comment by Gabriele Suboch: Resource, page number? According to Bauder (2017), illegal immigration, drug trafficking, and an open border are all interconnected issues. Research has shown that illegal immigration and drug trafficking are strongly linked, with drug trafficking being a major reason why people choose to immigrate illegally. In addition, research has shown that an open border facilitates illegal immigration and drug trafficking. The issue of illegal immigration is important practically and empirically because it affects a large number of people and has a significant impact on society. The issue of drug trafficking is important because it affects public health and safety and has a significant impact on the economy. According to Eshkobilov (2022), theoretically, the issue of illegal immigration is important because it challenges traditional ideas about borders and sovereignty. The issue of drug trafficking is important because it raises questions about the efficacy of drug prohibition. The issue of an open border is important because it challenges the idea of the nation-state as a closed system. Comment by Gabriele Suboch: Resource?
The topic of illegal immigration, drug trafficking, and open borders is currently of interest for a variety of reasons. First and foremost, there is a significant amount of debate surrounding these issues, both in the United States and internationally. Secondly, the topic is timely, as the Trump administration has prioritized illegal immigration and drug trafficking. Finally, the topic is relevant to a number of current events, such as the ongoing opioid epidemic in the United States. Comment by Gabriele Suboch: You need to add the reduction of illegal immigration…..
Another reason why the topic is important is that it has been a major problem in the United States, with an estimated 11 million undocumented immigrants living in the country (Meade & Nancy, 2018). The issue of illegal immigration is important practically and empirically because it affects a large number of people and has a significant impact on society. The issue of illegal immigration is also important because it challenges traditional ideas about borders and sovereignty. The issue of drug trafficking is also currently of interest because it is a major problem in the United States, with an estimated $100 billion worth of drugs being trafficked into the country each year (Meade & Nancy, 2018).
The issue of drug trafficking is important because it affects public health and safety and has a significant impact on the economy. The issue of drug trafficking is also important because it raises questions about the efficacy of drug prohibition. The issue of an open border is also of current interest because it has national security and sovereignty implications. The issue of an open border is important because it challenges the idea of the nation-state as a closed system. The issue of an open border is also closely linked to the issue of illegal immigration and drug trafficking. Comment by Gabriele Suboch: Support with resources.
