A university lecturer wants to increase engagement of his external students.
An independent political candidate in a state election wants to increase her chances of winning a seat.
A supermarket wants to be able to predict outages of food to better know when and how to order supplies.
A petrol station chain needs to decide the best place to open two new 24-hour stations.
A homeless centre needs to measure the impact this organisation is having increasing the quality of life of its homeless clients.
Undertake the following steps of Identifying Data for your chosen scenario:
Identify likely decisions/actions the primary stakeholder would have to make/take.
Identify 5 questions the primary stakeholder would need to have answered to be able to perform those decisions/actions. Marks: 9% – due Week 6
Identify the information needed to answer each of the 5 questions.
Identify data sources for the information needed, and whether internal/external. Marks: 6% – due Week 8

- Design and annotate a one-page dashboard mock-up that would be useful to your primary stakeholder for your chosen scenario
The dashboard should be able to be operated to answer the 5 questions identified in step 2c above.
The dashboard should demonstrate how it would make use of the data in step 2e above.
Annotate the dashboard explaining the different parts.
The dashboard can be hand drawn or mocked up in Word or even a BI tool like Microsoft PowerBI.
The dashboard is a mock- up only and does not need be functional. If using Microsoft PowerBI to develop the mock-up, will need to build the dashboard, if so take a screen shot.
